10 Fantasty Guys/Girls-Celeb Crushes

I was tagged by Raquel23 and Distilla

Rules:

1- You post your top 10 fantasy guys/girls.
2- You tag 10 people.
3- You CANNOT tag someone who has allready been tagged.
4- you have to let the people you tagged know that they've been tagged.
5- These are the rules that must be repeated every time.
6- THERE MUST BE PHOTOS! AT ALL TIMES!

In order from 10-1 (1 being Biggest Crush)

10.) Rachel McAdams-I love how she doesn't have that fake look like most of the girls do in Hollywood, plus she seems very down to earth.

9.) Charlize Theron-She starred in the only movie that has really changed my life (North Country).  It had such an impact on me that I immediately made copies for all of the girls that I work with because it's just one of those films that every woman should see.  Plus, she makes Keanu Reeves look like a decent actor, now that's amazing ;)

8.) Simon Pegg/Nick Frost-Can't pick one, have to take them both, two of the funniest bastards on the planet.

7.) Christina Scabbia-Can hold her own in a genre that is strictly ruled by men, plus she's breathtakingly beautiful.

6.) Matthew Bellamy-Head of one of the most incredible live bands EVER, I never knew someone could play guitar like that.

5.) Jesse Hasek-One of the most beautiful male vocals I've ever heard, loved his band in one minute of watching their set at Family Values tour.

4.) Shavo Odadjian-My favorite bass player, saw SOAD for the first time at Ozzfest 06, amazed that Shavo came over to our side of the stage 7 or 8 times, when other bands just merely glanced over at us.  His interaction with the crowd and fans is what makes him incredible.

3.) Jamie Pressley-Her perfection of playing the trailer park trash character finally won her an Emmy for her role on My Name is Earl, I always loved her constant sarcasm :)

2.) Ville Valo-What can I say, he invented a new genre of music, plus listening to HIM made me really appreciate music for the first time and its the first band that I have been a dedicated fan to.

1.) Chino Moreno-His music has changed my life, Deftones and Team Sleep, I couldn't imagine my life without his music.

I tag xriffraffx, anahlee, bulltoro472, jeever, kobal, lostiniceland, mcrdinosaur, saeve, sineads, skates4him.

My 2 tag entries (8 Random Things About Me and 10 Celebrity Crushes)

Well it's about damn time isn't it, here is 1 of my 2 responses to the topics that I have been tagged about

First is 8 random things about me (I liked how Raquel23 used pictures so I'm going to do the same)

-tagged by Raquel23, FadeIntoYou, LuvMetlChika,

RULES:

1. You post 8 random things about yourself.
2. You tag 8 people.
3. You CANNOT tag someone who has already been tagged.
4. You have to let the people you tagged know that they've been tagged.
5. These are the rules they must be repeated every time.

I am addicted to spa treatments ever since going to my first spa back in July, so far I've had an elemental facial (to get rid of impurities due to smog, pollution, etc), a body scrub, a lavender seaweed body wrap, ear candling (I know you're all like whaaaa? they light a candle, put it in your ear, and the whole in the bottom of the candle allows smoke to fill your ear canal and pull out ear wax and sinus residue to clear out your sinuses and ear, cool huh), an eye treatment, and a sinus massage

I drink up to 2 frozen/iced coffee drinks a day (Cinnabon's Mocha Latta Chill is my favorite), if I'm in an area that doesn't have any places around that have these drinks I will go on a hunt for them and often will drive a half hour out of my way to get them, I don't like the taste of regular coffee so this has become a very expensive addiction, just like the cost of buying a pack of cigarrettes a day, and not very healthy either with all of the fat and calories too, I am really trying to seek out a better alternative :)

I sleep with 2 nightlights on, yes 2, I even take them when I go away or stay in hotels when I'm travelling for work, I think it's from watching too many horror movies :O

I believe that vampires are real, I even did a report in college on Vlad the Impaler (aka Dracula); I actually got away with handing it in for 2 different classes, hehe, and doing research for the report sort of deterred my belief slightly but I still have this gut feeling that I can't get rid of.  I just don't see how all of that legend and folklore can come out of something that never existed.  I'm even scared by writing this they are going to prove to me how real they are :o

I go through these 2-3 week obsession periods where I will obsess about anything from boys to tattoos to bands and don't stay very committed to any of them, that's why I was so proud of myself for going through with getting my first tattoo, hopefully I will be the same for my 2nd, 3rd, and so on.  Also, HIM was the first band that I stayed committed to, they weren't just another phase I went through, I did impulsively go out and buy almost all of their cds in matter of 3 weeks but I still listen them all of the time and still feel those little flutters of happiness when I watch the videos and listen to the music that made me fall in love with them in the first place.

I swear I get an endorphin rush or just feel super happy and peaceful when I listen to my favorite band Deftones,
I just get this goofy grin on my face and it seems to take me immediately out of my bad mood and into my happy place, lol, which is anything having to do with Deftones, whether it's a concert or watching their music videos or listening to their music in my car, it equals my happy place :)

I had a trauma free childhood, I thank my parents for that, although there is no real way to thank someone for that, you basically have to show your appreciation in other ways to be able to come close to paying someone back for that. The older I become the more I realize what a rarity it is and how it changes you for life for the good or the bad, but I think I've done a good job thus far showing my parents without saying it outright how thankful I am.

I am a great listener but I get so sick of having to listen to people talk and talk and talk without ever being able to get my own 2 cents in, and I really hate to listen to people who just like the sound of their own voice.

I absolutely love things associated with Irish and Celtic culture whether it be shamrocks or celtic crosses or Irish blessings, all of the things that I will decorate my kitchen with when I move out are all Irish (placemats, towels, clocks, glasses, mugs, even bread warmers, lol). I also love them as tattoos, I have a celtic cross on my back, and plan to have a vine of shamrocks and trinity knots tattooed on my foot.

The people that I have tagged to do the same 8 random facts are below :)

anahlee, anonymous666, ilovericharddramstein, jeever, kochamxczekolade, lostiniceland, villegurl1, vvlover25.

Deftones Summer Tour-June 2, 2007@ Electric Factory in Philly

Well, this is my 3rd time seeing the band, I'm so freakin lucky to for being so late getting into a band, being able to see them 3 times in less than a year.  I still regret all of the years that I missed out on, but this past year was probably the best time in the past couple of years to be able to go to Deftones shows due to the massive amount of touring that they've been doing.  Show started at 8 pm with Fall of Troy opening up, I saw maybe 1 minute of the opening band, me and my friend got to the venue kind of late and I had to wait for him by the front door for like 5 minutes because they weren't letting him in with the chain on his wallet, cause that's oh so dangerous, lol, and he had to go put it back in my car.  The concert was sold out, and it appeared that there was a much bigger crowd than the show in December.  We kind of weaved our way into the crowd and got to maybe 5 people back from the front banister, pretty close although I was pretty sure that would change.  Of course set-change seemed to take forever, I now know what two of their techs look like, Linus and Juan.  Abe didn't have his pornographic snare drum that he had on the Family Values Tour, just a metallic gold set.  The venue played about 5 or 6 songs during set-up, which I'm guessing Chino and the band pick out, they started playing Dreamweaver by REO Speedwagon XD (Chino's a fan, he's done a cover of I'm Going to Keep on Loving You on occassion).

When the band came on stage I couldn't see anything, bunch of really tall people in front of me but I just kept screaming because everyone else was.  They opened up with BQAD and it was insane from that moment on, you can see my bruises to prove it.  Just getting shoved around and shoving other people, I constantly had my hands on a guy's back or arms in front of me just to brace myself from the pushing or trying not to fall over.  It must have been like 90F in that place, I almost had to bail on the pit but luckily after like 4 or 5 fast songs they started playing the ballads and I was like thank god a break.  But the pit MADE that show, it wouldn't have been anywhere as fun if you were sitting in the balcony or towards the back, you can't listen to Deftones and not want to jump up and down and ram into the people in front of you and on the sides, lol.  And I made it longer in the pit then my friend did, he bailed about 3/4 of the way through, although he was pretty much in the front and those people were just getting squashed from beginnning to end.  I would get pushed pretty far up front, maybe 2 people from the front on Stef's side but then I would just get pushed right back again. Plus I ended up in the area of the pit where everyone would shove each other over to the right and then back to the left and again and again, lol, there were points where I couldn't even put my arms up we were so packed in there!!

An awesome memory of the night was Chi saying how crazy we were, and how honored he was of us going crazy, Chino spoke to us more than in Dec, he asked us how we were doing and said "It's hotter than a moth... in here", Stef gestured to us and put his horns up at us.  They put on once again an amazing show, although Chino did appear to be a bit tired, I mean that was one of the 6 back to back shows that they did, but I wasn't let down in the least. A couple people on my side kept chanting "Teething", but I don't know if they normally go for that, or if any band does. Set list as follows:

be quiet & drive
my own summer (all I'll remember is holding a guy by the shoulders in front of me and jumping up and down, lol
lhabia (rare times to be heard live)
around the fur
rickets
beware (our first break from the insanity, lol)
root
nosebleed
digital bath
hole in the earth
xerces (sounds incredible live)
bored (first time hearing this live, Chino came over right in front of us during the song)
engine #9
kimdracula
korea (first time hearing this live)
change (kind of wish they cut this out of their setlists, play No Ordinary Love instead)
minerva
rapture (first time hearing this live, unfuckin believable)
Rats!Rats!Rats! (crowd goes INSANE for this one)
encore:

back to school (also first time hearing live, amazing!!)
passenger
7 words (no Say it Ain't So cover, most of the other dates had this on their setlist :(

And everyone walked away happy and completely drenched in sweat :)!!

1st Annual MMRarbeque Festival Review-May 20th, 2007 (Kickoff Concert for Summer at the Tweeter Center =D)

Our local rock station here in Philly, WMMR (93.3) held it’s first annual music festival this past Sunday at the Tweeter Center in Camden, NJ, and they pretty much advertised the crap out of it and how great a deal it was so how could I not go? Plus Ozzfest wasn’t looking to promising for this year so I knew I needed to go to at least one festival this summer and my friend asked me if I wanted to go so I figured it was a no brainer.....8 bands for $49.50, excellent deal if you ask me. So had a very LONG weekend down the shore, but since I was already tired I figured what’s one more day of partying going to hurt right? Let’s just say IS IT FRIDAY YET FOR GOD’S SAKE!! As I’m writing this on Tuesday night. Anyways, started off with a mudslide on the way to the concert, stopped at the liquor store to buy some stuff a friend suggested; mixing Mike’s Hard Lime with Tequila, although it turns out Mike’s makes a new Magarita blend but I figured I might as well by the Tequila anyway…bad decision. I was meeting a friend and some of his other friends at the concert at about 12:50 (when the first band was going on) so ended up driving in by myself, and paying freakin $20 for parking, the venue is kind of messed up in a way that you don’t have much choice where to park, the cops direct everything because the Tweeter Center is in Camden, NJ, which you may have heard is one of the top five most dangerous cities in the country….NIIIIICE!! So waited for my friend for a little, met him and pre-gamed it at my car with a couple of his other friends, ended up spilling my whole jager bomb on his friend’s bag….felt so bad but I’m extremely clumsy when I drink. After about an hour of that and realizing we had missed Flyleaf AHHHHH!! Oh well, and me holding on to the trunk to stay vertical, we went inside to the masses of people. It was totally insane, just people everywhere, but I expected it to be as crowded as Ozzfest was last summer and it definitely was, maybe even more so, although during Family Values I could hear a pin drop that’s how dead that place was in the pavilion area/food court. We made our way to the pit (the concert was set up so that the first four bands-Shovelhook, The Exies, Flyleaf, and Chevelle) was a general admission set-up, so all of the seating areas and pit were open to everyone, then they had a house changeover and if you had a seat, you had that choice or the lawn. The pit was insane, unfortunately we got stuck at the very back at the banister where everyone pushes past to get into and out of the pit, so wasn’t really enjoying Chevelle’s set as much as I could have, but was still impressed even though I heard some less than stellar reviews of Chevelle's live show.

Chevelle’s set list:

Comfortable Liar

The Red

Brainiac

Vitamin R

Well Enough Alone

Another song from new album?

Get Some

Send The Pain Below

Another Know It All

The Clincher

The pit went nuts for Vitamin R, Send the Pain Below, and Get Some, the crowd was really into the band but I’m sorry I don’t remember much, Jager started sneaking up on me by then and I wasn’t feeling that coherent. But hey I still wanted to share my review of the concert and I had a really good time so figured it was worth writing up. This was my first time seeing Chevelle live after being into them since the release of their first album and would definitely go see again…partially from not remembering a whole lot either, ;).

Chevelle Stage

Pete Loeffler (Lead Singer of Chevelle)

Dean Bernardini (Bassist)

Send The Pain Below (I know I'm sorry the sound sucks!!)

After Chevelle was the house change for the venue, and at this point they had the radio station's morning show with the WMMR girls playing beach volleyball on the side of the Tweeter center facing the Delware River, but by that time there was no way me and my friend could find our way out and then back into the building, I was just done, haha, and it wasn't even 5 pm yet, why oh why did I mix Tequila and Jager and Myers Dark Rum?!!! So we went back into the pavilion, for some reason that is beyond me I bought a frozen magarita when I should have just freakin ate something but I just wanted to drink more and more and we went outside to see what were in the tents on the outside pavillion. I couldn’t even tell you what the hell was out there and we were out there for like 45 minutes…and here’s why. We both started feeling really bad at that point, I had two sips of my magarita and I knew I had to buy some soda and water to calm my stomach and bring me hopefully back to reality…yeaaaah not so much. I had to take a nap in the mulch in one of the little garden areas in the outside pavilion, I was getting the spins and I didn’t even care that hundreds of people were walking by while I was lying in a garden. I turned over occasionally to see if my friend was allright but he was hungover from yesterday and in combination with what he drank earlier that day he basically had his head on the asphalt, we were just a mess, I would have been embarrassed if I really cared :P After lying there for a half-hour, I said you know Buckcherry is coming on, we should really get up to the lawn to see them. As we stumbled up the ramp to the lawn, I totally lost it and threw up NEXT to the trashcans (that’s what they get for putting covers on them, how do you barf in that?), lol, sorry, and sadly for suffering from motion sickness (planes, amusment park rides) I’ve grown strangely comfortable with throwing up in public, I just kind of do it and am not completely mortified and embarrassed, just like yeah whatever. So went up to the lawn..not to watch the concert but to pass out again, hehe, I can’t even tell you what the band Buckcherry even looks like, any of the members of the band.  I did end up sitting up for about 3 songs but wasn’t about to stand up anytime soon. My friend was a bit unresponsive for awhile even though I kept hitting him, but he had a goofy look on his face so I figured he was allright. And don’t you know just as Buckcherry ended their set the heavens opened up and it started pouring, good thing we had seats and had sobered up by then so we grabbed something to eat and got in our seats for Fuel.

Buckcherry’s Set List:

So Far

Broken Glass

Porno Star

Whiskey

Out Of Line

Everything

Crazy Bitch (loved hearing this live!!)

Next 2 You

Lit Up

As some of you may know, Fuel is minus it's original lead singer (Brett Scallions) and original drummer (Kevin Miller). Nevertheless, they put on an amazing show, the new lead singer (Toryn Green) has just as much of a voice as the former lead singer and for only being with the band for a little more than a month, he did a damn good job.

Toryn Green

Falls On Me #1

Falls On Me #2

Fuel's Set List:

Last Time
Jesus Or  A Gun
Gone
Shimmer
Falls On Me
Quarter
Won’t Back Down
Sunburn
Bad Day
Empty Spaces
Prove
Hemorrhage (AMAZING closer!!!)

I was getting pretty excited now because who was coming up? EVANESCENCE!! And Amy Lee fresh off of her honeymoon too =D Amy talked to the crowd a lot, she seems like such a sweetheart, and she understood that the lawn was the party spot, and that most of the people who stayed on the lawn did so because they were in a drunken stupor, lol.  Evanescence as some of you may know also have some new members just of pretty much this past couple of weeks, a drummer and guitar player from the band Dark New Day..my friend said that Amy pretty much carried the band, and was shocked that the guitar players stared at their guitars through the entire set like they weren't comfortable with what they were doing, but hey it was their 2nd day performing live with the band so you gotta give them credit for that.

Evanescence Set List:

Weight Of The World
Sweet Sacrifice
Going Under
The Only One
Lithium
Good Enough
Haunted
Call Me When Your Sober
Imaginary
BMTL
ATILF
Lacrymosa
My Immortal
Your Star

Weight of the World

Evanescence-Your Star Evanescence-Lithium

After a quick intro and thanks by the WMMR staff, it was time for VELVET REVOLVER!!! I had been so excited all week knowing that I was going to see Slash and Scott Weiland in person, two ultimate rock stars, and of course along with the other former members of Guns N Roses, and Scott Weiland does not disappoint, he is the epitomy of the rock star and being in his presence you can't help but have major respect for how amazing he is.  They rocked out for a little over an hour, they had to cut one song or two out of the set list below due to time constraints, but the encore-Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd cover) the place went nuts, it was once in a lifetime experience =D

Velvet Revolver's Set List:

Let It Roll
Do It For The Kids
Suckertrain Blues
Superhuman
Last Fight
She Mine
Big Machine
Get Out The Door
Vasoline (STP Cover)
Fall To Pieces (Incredible!!)
Just 16
Quick Machine (newest single)
Set Me Free
ENCORE:

Wish You Were Here
Slither

Slash

Vasoline

 She Builds Quick Machines

Slither

Slash-Guitar Solo

Below is the only video that's not mine, but I just had to share how amazing WYWH really was, and everyone singing along :)

So to sum it up, so glad I sobered up for the rest of the night, it was an amazing concert, it pretty much rained through Evanescence's set and some of VR, but luckily I was in the seats by then, sucks for the people on the lawn but maybe that's why my parking lot was pretty much clear when I came out =D  Bonus also which I couldn't believe I didn't know about this was had to find out from watching the Jumbotron in between sets that Deftones are going to be back at the E-Factory on June 2nd, I couldn't get over the fact that if I hadn't been at that concert I might have missed the upcoming show, I would have had a heartattack!! Thanks for reading =D

Philly.com-Bam and Missy's Wedding Article

Sideshow | Not just another wedding for the TV cameras

The exchange of vows. Dancing. Music. A couple of fights.

Just another wedding? Not the case Saturday night at the Loews Philadelphia as West Chester's MTV/skater-punk hero Bam Margera, 27, married childhood friend Missy Rothstein, 26, before about 350 friends, family members and an MTV crew. Margera's brother Jesse was best man.

Iggy Popperformed after the salad course. Among guests were Tony Hawk, the skateboarding legend, James Iha, formerly of Smashing Pumpkins, and the usual gang of Margera associates, including Dico and Rake Yohn. Philly restaurateur Dave Magrogan of Kildare's Irish Pub and Doc Magrogan's Oyster House were there, as were radio personalities Preston Elliot,Casey Fosbenner, Kathy Romanoof WMMR's Preston & Steve show. The show's Steve Morrison was under the weather. Witnesses reported two scuffles involving unspecified combatants. The wedding will be Topic A of today's Preston & Steve show (6 to 10 a.m., 93.3 FM).

Margera, who rose to fame on the shows Jackass and Viva La Bam, allowed MTV to follow the wedding for a nine-episode series Bam's Unholy Union.

It premiered Tuesday; the wedding itself, the final episode, will be shown in early April. The couple will honeymoon in Dubai.

MTV cameras took pains to avoid taping Margera's uncle Vincent "Don Vito" Margera, who on Thursday was ordered to stand trial on charges that he groped three girls at an appearance in Colorado. He is free on $50,000 bail, pending his March 5 arraignment.

Hawk, by the way, impressed staff at Lacroix at the Rittenhouse Friday when he and his wife, Lhotse, came in for dinner. They left a 50 percent tip.

~TONY HAWK WAS ON THE GUEST LIST~

~Iggy Pop was one of the two acts that performed at the concert...guessing the other one will be a suprise for the show, but come on it's got to be........~

THE LIST YOUR FAVORITE SONG MUSIC SURVEY =D

Hey people, I would really, really, really appreciate it if you could take my "List Your Favorite Song" music survey, basically as you can see I have a list of bands below and then solo artists and to take the music survey all you gotta do is cut and paste the list into a comment section and add in next to the name what your favorite song is by that particular band or artist, if you don't see a band or artist that you think should be on there, let me know, the ones I left off I either don't really like them or maybe just forgot so again let me know.  And of course, if you don't know the band/artist or don't have a favorite song of theirs leave it blank.  I can always refer you to a great song by them though ;)  Take your time, I know it's a long list, but I have a long list of my favorite music so take all the time you need. Thanks much, hopefully this will let me know more about your musical tastes so I can post videos specifically for what you want to see :D  Okay, here goes, I will post my favs as the first comment below.

Deftones-Saturday Night Wrist Tour-Dec.2 (Electric Factory-Philadelphia PA)

Well, let's just say it's not my Saturday Night Wrist that's bothering me, lol, it's my Saturday Night ow my fucking feet hurt from being stomped on all night, or it could be cause my sneakers were too damn tight, lol, but yeah I pretty much feel how anyone should feel after they go to a good concert, you hair smells like cigarette/marijuana smoke all mixed into one, my voice is hoarse, throat scratchy, and just feeling pretty much beat up and bruised..in a good way...in a very good way :).  So went out, had some drinks first, then got to the Electric Factory around 8:00.  The venue is two levels, upstairs is the bar and balcony, 21 and over, and downstairs is all ages.  We went upstairs first to get a drink and see if there were any seats up there on the balcony, but they were all filled up.  I really didn't want to sit up there anyway, it's not the same at a concert for me unless you're in the midst of it all in the pit.  After getting raped by the bartender (lol, just kidding) but seriously, after paying $12.50 for a Twisted Tea and a beer, that's how I felt.  Went back downstairs about halfway through Deadsy's 2nd song, Deadsy was the opening band, and they are a goth type band from LA, but complete rip-off of Orgy if you ask me, and since Orgy has about 8 yrs more experience in the industry, I say rip-off.  The lead singer of Deadsy is actually Cher and second husband Greg Allman's son, his name is Elijiah Blue.  They weren't horrible, they just weren't good, and the filters that the guy sang over just made them seem even more as just a knockoff.  But you gotta give them credit, they come out there every night knowing that 85% of the crowd doesn't give a shit about your music and will applaud only when they realize your set is over and the band that they came to see is coming on, sad but true :(.

About 25-30 minutes for set change, and the build-up for Deftones was INSANE!! The whole crowd moved about 10 feet forward when Chino first got on stage, and that's when the madness began.  I've never been in a full fledged mosh pit yet, I've just been on the side when small ones have broken out, but what broke out during their opener Rats!Rats!Rats! was the entire floor in a huge mosh pit, and was pissed at first that it happened, but then I was LOVING it!! Even when they went into their next song Digital Bath, which is a slow song, they were still pits forming, but then I guess they realized this isn't nowhere near a good song to mosh too, so they calmed down until My Own Summer hit, and OMFG!! was that song fun, cause we just got pushed around from start to end, I loved it, that's when me and my friend got pushed back the farthest, I was holding onto his arm and the arm of the girl in front of me, who was being pushed back on to her boyfriend, cause I really thought we were all going to fall, it was so awesome!! Unfortunately though, we got pushed into the lamest part of the crowd, and if you've read my other concert reviews, this always seems to end up happening to me, although luckily the two people right in front of me who didn' t move a muscle pretty much for the entire concert were short, so I could still see the stage and everything.  But seriously, the girl in front of me clapped like twice, and she clapped like she was at a fucking dance recital, not a Deftones concert, but whatever.  Here's the set list, order is a bit mixed up

Rats!Rats!Rats! Massive pit formation =D

Digital Bath-Raquel, I really did melt =D

My Own Summer-Funnest, craziest song of the night

Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)-Raquel, it truly was INCREDIBLE!! Although, this is when some chick grabbed me and pushed me into the pit, which had luckily just dispersed, cause I would have looked like an idiot in there, lol XD.

Around The Fur

Beware-Chino hit all of his high notes, his voice was definitely on point!!

Nosebleed

Xerces-So beautiful live

Engine #9

This might have been the smoke/mop off all my sweat with towel break the band took :)

Passenger

Hole in the Earth

Root

Minus Blindfold-In this song, Chino let out this bloodcurdling, gut wrenching scream, it was amazing!!

Minerva-only dull point of the concert, crowd wasn't really into this one

Hexagram

Kimdracula-my new fav off Saturday Night Wrist

Cherry Waves

Change-the thing that pissed me off about this song was it seemed like the crowd awakened at this point, like then you started seeing fists in the air and people singing, like fuck where were you guys for the last 1/2 hour?

7 words-I noticed this guy off to my right staring at me, I know all the words to 7 words, it is kind of a difficult song to memorize, maybe he was impressed a girl knew all the words to the song

At the very end of 7 words, I swear I had a moment with Chino...in my head, lol, I just remember him with his fists in the air, and me directly in front of him about 200 feet back, I was screaming and had my horns in the air, and literally like I was the only one in my field of vision in front of me with my hands in the air, and it was like it was just me and him in the room...yes I know I'm crazy, lol, but it was like he was singing directly to me, XD.

So, all in all, I had a fucking fun ass time, the crowd was pretty lame and that bothered me a little, and I really wanted to push my way back up to the front where the real pit was but didn't feel like pushing through people. But even when everyone was slamming into each other, it never got violent, I don't think they were any fights, it was all just a happy Deftones crowd, everyone was just there to have fun and it was just a really positive crowd, and I think Chino was feeding off our energy just as much as were feeding off of his.  He thanked us a couple times and you could tell he really appreciated the fans, not jaded at all. Anways, I loved every single second of it, and THANK GOD FOR DEFTONES!!!

Family Values Tour Review

So, I got to the Tweeter Center around 6:50, when I walked into the main gates that takes you into the food court area, I could not believe how dead it was, I was just at Ozzfest a month ago, and it was like night and day. Granted Stone Sour was performing then, but going from waiting 20 minutes for my Jack Daniels' country punch at Ozzfest to 20 secs at FVT, WOW!! But anyways, me and my brother went and looked around, completely dead out in the pavillion too, I just really wanted to find the FYE tent to see if I could make it there to the Deftones meet and greet and still get back and see Korn, which I decided against later, still don't know if I made the right decision.  So I got my drink and we went out into the pit when Stone Sour was playing Through Glass, which was amazing, I think I heard it on the radio maybe once, but Corey Taylor has an AMAZING VOICE, from the two songs I did see, it must have been a great set, he was very interactive with the crowd and seemed like a really appreciative guy, I'm going to have to check them out. Oh yeah, and the 80's Van Halen jump off the stage kicked ass, loved that.

Deftones-I've just gotten into the Deftones about 5 months ago, but literally I could probably listen to their 5 cds for the rest of my life and be happy with them, that's how great I think their music is. So, needless to say, I was psyched to see them live, although wasn't sure what to expect from the mixed reviews. To sum it up and in retaliation to all of the bogus bad reviews I read on the Family Values tour message boards, they tore the fuckin roof off that place, even before the stage was set, when they revealed the backdrop of the SNW cd cover, some people oohh and ahh, and tons of cameras were flashing, so they were some major fans there, however, there weren’t on my side of the pit
L. I remember trying to check out Abe's (drummer’s) pornographic snare drum, hehe, and then before I knew it the band was like right there me, Chino (Deftones lead singer) my rockstar obsession 20 feet away AGGGGGHHHHHHHHH. I was directly in front of Chi (Deftone’s bassist) 3rd person in from the front rail. Great view, cept for the 6'3 guy in front of me, (who actually looked like Dwight for anyone who watches the show The Office, lmao) who I don't think I even saw him headbang or even move an inch the whole set, so I was saying in my head, man he really better fuckin lose it for Korn, or really why are you here then? Anyways, I thought Chino killed it, every song was on point, his vocals were great, from the screaming to the melodies he was all over it, tons of energy, I mean he'll never have the energy he did back in the late 90's, but I didn't expect him to. Kicking the set off with Feticiera (amazing song btw, check it out) just got the crowd super hyped, a lot of people around me knew all the words to that song and we were all singing along. They started playing this one song, and I was dying through a minute of the instrumental, cause I knew what the song was, I just couldn't think of which cd or what the title was, then I realized it was If Only Tonight We Could Sleep (The Cure cover off their B-Sides cd), that really was a special treat for Philly, I haven't seen another Family Values Tour Deftones set list with a cover song on there, so I was really excited about that. I liked their new stuff, just really couldn't get into it, just cause it's new, but the new cd should be interesting. The only song I didn't like that they did was Headup, I would rather of heard Bloody Cape, Lotion, something else. Poor Chi looked tired towards the end of the set, he screamed his little heart out,  and watching Abe is like watching pure adrenaline, the guy plays the drums like no one I've ever seen before. Another funny thing was seeing Chino getting pissed at getting the microphone not wrapped around his arm like he wanted and having a tantrum on stage, funny stuff I swear they cut off 2 songs though, their set was short like 10 minutes or so. The funniest thing was during 7 words at the SHUT UP YOU DON'T KNOW ME line Chino goes over to the speakers next to Chi to these girls and says, "Hey we got some Nick Lachey (I guess cause the girl he was talking about was wearing a very Nick Lacheyish outfit of a white wife beater and a Yankees baseball cap) shit going on over here", sucks though they got to touch Chino, he grabbed a couple of people's hands over there, including the Nick Lachey girl he was talking about. I got a really close up pic from him coming over there, damn I was so close. So after they finished their set, all the rest of the band members ran off pretty quickly, Chino just kind of waved and left, Abe put his hair up in a bath towel which cracked me the hell up, threw out some drum sticks and ran off too. It was at this time I'm like damn what do I do, do I go wait in line for the Deftones meet and greet and risk having to stand in the back for Korn and miss some of their set or stay in the great position I was in and wait for Korn? I just decided to stay there, glad I did, kind of. I must say though, my area was pretty lame for the Deftones set, not a whole lot of people were getting into them, all of those people were all in the middle in front of Chino, I guess I should have moved over there, couple of people crowd surfing so that was cool.   Nothing like having you hand get shoved into some strange guy’s butt cause you don’t want to have him dropped on your head, lol.

Deftones Set List in no particular order:
Feiticiera (*fuckin awesome)
Passenger (*equally fuckin awesome)
Beware The Water
Nosebleed
Engine #9
Change
Hole in the Earth
If Only Tonight We Could Sleep
Headup
7 Words
Am I missing one??

It seemed like FOREVER for Korn to set up, but I knew it would be worth it, but that's when the weird dude showed up. In the pit, like you had room, I'm very crazy about my personal space, I don't mind being right next to you in the pit, but our body parts don't have to be touching, if you know what I mean, not when we are just standing there, maybe when everyone’s jumping around and throwing up the devil horns, then it’s allright. This guy comes right up on my brother, the guy's like 3 inches standing in the back of him, for what reason I have no clue, and he keeps brushing his big gorilla hands on me, I'm like dude, back the fuck up (I should have said something, so instead I just moved my brother over to my spot and let the douchebag stand in his spot,  the guy was such a weirdo!!!
So back to Korn, when they brought out JD's mike stand, everyone just gasped, so funny, that thing is AWESOME. (for those who haven’t seen it, it’s basically a naked women’s body with huge breasts and huge nipples also, hehe).  When the stage was revealed, I understood the waiting time, the stage was AMAZING!!! Dave came out first, then Munky and
JD and Fieldy (Korn’s bassist), along with the back-up band who as you may have heard or already know, all where bunny and other animal masks (due to the new cd’s cover). I went nuts from beginning to end, sang along to every single song, loved every second of it. Munky (Korn’s guitarist) killed it, I was directly in front of him, couldn't see him though with the giant in front of me who I don't know, maybe clapped like 2 or 3 times? WTF!! Why do people spend money on pit tickets if they're just going to STAND THERE!!!! I don't get it, even the people on the front rail that were in front of me weren't even getting into it, guess that's just one of life's mysteries.
The highlight of the set for me was during the song Throw Me Away, I can't even describe how it was to see that live, no words, I think me and Munky had a moment, LOL, during that song, or maybe he was thinking Will she shut up all ready? I might have been screaming the words too loud, I don't really know, I couldn't hear, lol. The only songs they didn't play that I've seen on other set lists was Ball Tongue and Thoughtless. Wicked was INSANE!! I've read elsewhere that Chino didn't seem like he was into the song when they saw him, but the guy couldn't have been more hyped, it was awesome, and the bag pipes in the beginning of Shoots and Ladders was incredible, Jonathan played them for about 2-3 minutes and walked along the stage getting us hyped up, I screamed none stop along with everyone else. I have to make sure I wear my hair down to all of my future rock/metal concerts too, at Ozzfest I had it up in a ponytail, and I don’t know headbanging isn’t the same unless your hair is hanging in your face, and for all of you Korn fans, who may have not seen them in concert, you can’t help but to do the Jonathan head shake, you know what I’m talking about, sooooo much fun!!. Loved the speech Jonathan did at the end, thanking the fans saying if it wasn’t for us none of this would be possible, JD seems very humbled in the midst of being a rock star, and really appreciates the support still to this day, which is always nice to see. The glitter/confetti guns seemed kind of out of place but it was awesome either way. Blind was the perfect way to end that show, at first I thought it would have been better in the beginning, but it really was great to end the show.  At the end of Blind, my brother wanted to beat traffic, but I had my heart setting on getting a drumstick from Dave, I was trying to work up the courage to flash him to get one ;) So first Munky started throwing picks at our section, yeah, they're kind of hard to catch, lol, I must have looked like a seal or something clapping my hands up in the air trying to catch those damn picks, didn't get one of them. So then I see David making his way into the middle of the stage, downing a beer in front of the video camera, so I start screaming David and he comes over right in front of me to the right side of the stage. A couple of us were all screaming DAVID!! to get him to throw us the drumsticks, and what does he do? He leans down (my brother said he might have dropped it or tripped) and hands the drumstick to the guy in front of me who just leaned on the rail during the entire Korn set, WTF?? XO I felt like I was in class when all of these people are raising their hands and saying OOh, OOh, I know, and the teacher picks on the kid without his hand up just sitting there, fuck I should have just flashed him!!! AHH, maybe next time, will go see them in a heartbeat, best performance out of a band I have ever seen, by far

Blind-done after the speech and during the blowing off of the glitter and confetti guns, I will never forget this, amazing experience

Sidenote-Must tell you about this jerkoff that almost ruined my experience. This asshole first tried to push his way to the front during the Deftones set, he pushed me right out of the way, loved that a bigger guy in the front of me wasn't having it and wouldn't let him through, and then the guy proceeds to talk through the rest of the Deftones set to his two 13 yr old kids he brought with him who kept knocking into me. Nice buddy, real nice. So he disappeared for awhile, thank god, and right after Korn did Hollow Life, I turned around and realized the two guys that were in front of me had left, so I moved up and was right behind the person in front of the rail, so this guy from behind me taps me on the shoulder and says hey can I get up here to my sister? So I say sure, and as soon as I said it I realized who it was, the asshole again, i tried to block him off but couldn't, then the freakin kids are trying to push me aside again, I was like no way you are not pushing me out of the way. So yeah for the rest of the Korn set, this jerk elbows me in my chest like 6 times, till I finally push him and say EXCUSE ME!!! He just looked at me, so him and his complete loser stoner friend ruined the last 2 songs of Korn's set for me. He also shoved the guy in front of him into the freakin rail!! So for that guy, he was PATHETIC!! I would love to tell him don't ever come to a concert again, you don't deserve too if you're going to act like that and ruin it for the rest of us!! Especially bringing a kid who's jumping into the people the catch some confetti, freakin loser!!! Allrighty, thanks for reading, pics to come soon =D

Ozzfest 2006 Final Part-Ozzy!!!

Next was Ozzy fuckin Osbourne, my friend thought she might cry, it was definitely something to tell the grandkids about.  For about 5-7 minutes they played clips off all of Ozzy's music videos.  It seemed like forever before he came out, the place went absolutely nuts when he came out.  Up until a few days before the show the rumor was that Ozzy was headlining the second stage and wouldn't do the main stage, but thank god he decided to close out the show, it's only right.  I'm not a huge Black Sabbath or Ozzy fan, I don't really know any of the words to his songs, just the choruses, so by the time he had come on, I was hungry, tired, sweaty, hot, my feet heart, they turned the amps up even more than they were before, I lifted up my water bottle and the fuckin thing was vibrating, but towards the end I just got this second wind and really enjoyed his set.  He was incredible, he did forget a couple of lyrics with which Zach Wylde (lead singer for Black Label Society and guitarist for Ozzy's band) helped him with.  Zach did this incredible like 15 minute guitar solo in which he played behind his back and with his teeth 0_O!!  Ozzy was so cute, he would break out from song and start doing this like 5 yr old little girl hand wave thing to get us to wave our hands, and he would waddle (ya know how he doesn't really walk, he kind of waddle/runs) and picked up buckets of water to throw on the crowd, funny thing was he would get half of the water on himself before getting into the crowd, so freakin funny.  He also threw juice bottles in to the crowd and hit this girl in the head XD. Well, halfway through Ozzy's set, I was starting to look around cause some people were crowd surfing, and I noticed the topless chicks started appearing, I thought the one girl was going to take someone's eye out the way she was swinging those things around.  Something happened though, either someone tried to touch her or the guy holding her up got hit, cause she got dropped onto the ground and a huge fight broke out.  Two guys I think got pulled out of the pit by security, and these two drunk assholes were shaking the security guy's hand for taking care of it, they were all like "Thanks man, you guys are awesome", lol.

Before they were going to wrap it up, Ozzy told us only if we went fuckin crazy would they play one...two...three....maybe four more songs.  We got him to play 3, and thank god for my friend he played Paranoid, she had been waiting all night to hear that.  Mama I'm coming home was his first encore song, it was incredible. This was Ozzy's set list-

I Dont Know
Mr. Crowley
Miracle Man
Flying High Again
Mama Im Coming Home
I Dont Wanna Change The World
Goodbye To Romance
Believer
Suicide Solution
Changes

Road To Nowhere
Crazy Train
Iron Man
Paranoid

So, it was a great night, one of the greatest nights of my life, I took 39 pics, going to get them developed today, and should have them scanned and posted by some time tommorrow. Thanks for reading =D

Ozzfest 2006-Part 2

The anticipation for Disturbed was crazy, I couldn't believe that in less than 5 minutes, Disturbed would be on stage, David Draiman would be 30 feet away =D.  We stayed pretty much in the same area, talked to a couple of guys, the one guy said they were the reason why he came, everyone was just really excited.  Dan (guitarist) was on our side, super hot in person, and John (bassist) on the other side, and when David came out the place went fuckin nuts, really good crowd energy.  Of course the mosh pit broke out right near us, but it was cool cause we weren't getting pushed around, it was just right in front of us, we were just on the edge of it.  David really got the crowd into, he has not only an amazing singing voice as you probably know but his speaking voice is incredible too.  He talked about the war in Iraq and how we had no business being in that part of the world, and to honor the men and women fighting for us over there, the crowd roared, and then he led us into a USA chant, which made me feel proud of a country that is a joke to the rest of the world :(.  So, I belted out most of the songs with all of my heart cause I just absolutely love this band, their music has meaning and that is just so important to me.  At one point the guy next to me turned to me and said it looks like we're the only real Disturbed fans here, I'm like you got that right =D  And that was before I went completely nuts jumping up and down for Down with the Sickness, it was fuckin sick, lol. David had the whole crowd pumping their fists many, many times, he's an incredible front man, he did do a lot of posing and just walking around, but he can get away with that. It's weird I am normally a fairly quiet and shy person, especially in new situations like that, but I just didn't fuckin care, I was rockin out like there was no tommorow, it was great, and I only had 2 halfs of the drinks I spilled, XD. Here was Disturbed's set list-

The Game
Stupidfy
Liberate
Down With The Sickness
Remember
Deify
Stricken
Just Stop
Prayer
Land Of Confusion
Voices
Decadence
(order is mixed up a little)

They went out, getting us hyped for SOAD, who were up next and of course Ozzy, we moved up a little bit and over more towards the amps, as if we weren't close enough, couldn't really hear anything by then. I had a huge cheesy grin on my face when SOAD started, I absofuckinlutely love SOAD. Their set started with the The Soldier Side Intro on the Mesmerize cd, with Daron singing the vocals, Daron sang more vocals than Serj throughout their set, not a whole lot more, I think their vocals really mesh well together. SOAD brought a special guest named Harry from Venice Beach California, we all had to yell HI HARRY!! he was great, he played bass. Shavo was FUCKIN AWESOME!! He came over to us like 5 times, I swear I was making eye contact with him cause I went crazy when they played Revenge, I LOOOOOVE THAT SONG!!! Every single song was incredible, Serj played the keyboard in the front a couple of times, Daron was doing this crazy thing with his guitar on the ground, couldn't really see him that well.  Serj also sat down for 2 or 3 songs and played a special kind of guitar, maybe middle-eastern type.  When Shavo came over the 3rd time and I think I was 1 of like 3 girls over on that side and I started screaming for him, he made a motion like his heart was fluttering, like he was flattered that I was screaming for him like that, maybe, or just the combination of girls screaming for him, lol.  He also threw water on the crowd, he was just an amazing live performer, so funny and entertaining.  And side note-The strangest thing for me was when Shavo came back to us during Cigaro, and me screaming out the lyrics to Cigaro-"My c*ck is much bigger than yours, my c*ck can walk right through the door" to a guy, weird XD.  I loved them live, loved them already but now respect them on a whole different level, for their political views and just incredible music. And this was the point of the night were the weed smoke was sent adrift XD.

Here was their set list-

Attack
BYOB
Hypnotize
Kill rock N roll
Lonely Day
Soldier Side
Cigaro
Old School Hollywood
Question
Radio Video
Revenge
Violent Pornography
Sugar
Suite Pee
War
Aerials
Chop Suey
Needles
Physco
Toxicity

Ozzfest 2006-Part 1 Baby =D

So Ozzfest was my first rock concert, talking about extreme, but ladies and gentleman I don't just dip my foot into the pool, I dive in....head first. But seriously though, when I heard that LC, Disturbed, and System of a Down were going to be headlining, I was ecstatic, 3 of my favorite bands in the world all 30 minutes from my house, doesnt' get much better than that.  I bought pit tickets, in my eyes its the only way to go, I just have to be right near the stage, and got a parking pass because I was told by a friend I would have a hell of a time parking, especially cause I had to wait for my friend to get off of work around 4 for the concert.  I knew it would be cutting it close with seeing Lacuna Coil, but earlier in the day Pierre, the local dj on WMMR(rock station) was reporting the set times being pushed back 10 minutes, originally the whole concert was supposed to start an hour later, but they ended up making everything an hour earlier, so the second stage was staring at 9 am o_O, I find it kind of hard to rock out that early I don't know about you.  So after having an absolutely horrendous time parking, with the cops blocking off the streets, and me with what I thought was a special "purple" parking pass, which nobody knew what to do with, we parked in a shady parking lot, but along with crowds of people so still safe I guess, we procedded to walk like the mile and a half to the tweeter center.  I hadn't been there since 98, so needless to say I had no idea where I was going.

We got through the front gate and I just started walking, my friend Jody following me cause she thought I knew where I was going.  It was just insane, so many people, so I came from the back steps, up to where the lawn is and just walked around there, and still didnt' know how to get to the pit, finally found it through the food court type thingie.  So we get our wristbands, I though it was funny that the pit wristbands were bright pink, and by the time we got out there Hatebreed was coming on.  We found a decent spot....even though it was right in front of the amps, lol, it was good cause you still had some room and I didn't want to get stuck when the mosh pit broke out, so the side was good for me.  Plus my friend is about 5'4-5'5 and she wouldn't have been able to see, our section was pretty lame for Hatebreed. I watched some videos on youtube before hand to know what I should expect and didn't think I would like their type of music.  The weird thing was I really, really liked it, the lead singer just had this amazing stage presence, getting the crowd really into it.  This was Hatebreed's set list

Tear It Down
Into The Threshhold
I Will Be Heard
This Is Now

Death Before Dishonor
Perserverence
Live For This
Straight To Your Face
Last Breath
Empty Promises
Smash Your Enemies

So about 20 minutes before Hatebreed was going off, we decided to go eat and go to the bathroom through A7X, I fuckin hate A7X, sorry, to me they're like a metal boy band, it's like get this pierced and this tattoed, and you'll look legit.  So after waiting in line for fuckin forever, and dropping my Jack Daniel's country punch in line, *I'm such a klutz*, I kind of dropped it on this guy's foot, I looked up and I'm like I AM SO SORRY!! and he said don't worry about it, it felt good (remember this part, his chillness will come in later).  So I got another country punch, and a crappy hot dog, me and my friend caught up, haden't seen her in 2 years, I went to college with her and then she transferred, we made our way about a couple of minutes before A7x went off.  After having to show the pit people our tickets and wristbands...again.XO....we made our way to the same spot in front of the amps.  When we get out there, I finally realize the incredible sexiness of A7x lead singer, his arms are FUCKIN AMAZING, I never seen a more incredible biceps on a guy before, and them being all tattooed up made it even better, if that was possible.  *Maybe I should give A7X a chance*:), so as I'm taking my camera out of my shirt to take a pic, my country punch goes flying and lands on this bitch (you'll see) in front of me.  As she proceeds to turn around, I'm doing the whole I AM SO SORRY!! again, I really was at first, then I realize she's this 40 yr. old wanna be 21 yr old hag wearing get this, white stillettos, a mini skirt, a halter top, and this really nice white handbag, she looks at me with disgust and disbelief that I oh dear god dropped a drink, it fuckin happens, first of all YOU'RE AT FUCKIN OZZFEST, IN THE FUCKIN PIT, AND YOU'RE GOING TO WEAR THAT SHIT!! She deserved to get a drink tossed on her, hell a guy could have peed on my shoe for all I care, what do you fuckin expect? So as her and her skanky daughter continue to give me bitchy looks they left after A7x *hmmm, A7x fans maybe*, well that just reiterates everything I thought about them, fake ass band and fake ass fans (sorry I don't want to offend anyone, those two were just really fake, and I didn't see them for the rest of the night, so anyways).

A7X's set list-Beast and the Harlot
Unholy Confessions
Burn it Down
To End The Rapture
